Tasted this at the Meadery in 03/22, loved it then. Tasted it again today, still as wonderful. Complex, subtle, different.

Mead Maker's Notes

" Poppy was one of our first meads. It is a sweet mead that uses dried Jamaican rose flowers, which you can see and taste when you walk around the estate. The floral and fruity notes of tropical forest honey complement and balance the acid, fruity/floral and bitter from the Jamaican rose. Yes, Costa Rica Meadery will ship orders to locations in Costa Rica. If your location is within GAM, we use Correos CR or a courier service. If your location is outside of GAM, we use Parcel or Post, depending on the circumstances.

The shipping cost depends on the total weight of the order and the delivery address.

If the destination is WITHIN the GAM , the first kg is ¢1,600, each additional kg is ¢1000, up to 12 kgs.

If the destination is OUTSIDE the GAM , the first kg is ¢2,200, each additional kg is ¢1000, up to 12 kgs.

The cost of your order is automatically calculated on the checkout page.

For orders weighing more than 12 kgs, contact ventas@costaricameadery.com to coordinate delivery.

Shipments are made from Tuesday to Friday.

Orders before 4:00 pm will be shipped the next day. Orders after 4:00 pm will ship in two days or sooner.

The delivery of your order will be scheduled for the morning or afternoon. We will send you a message via WhatsApp or email when your delivery has been scheduled.

Shipments within the GAM will be delivered within 1-2 business days after order confirmation.


Shipments outside the GAM will be sent by parcel or post and delivered within 2-3 business days after order confirmation.

For online orders, we accept payment by SINPE MÓVIL or Bank Transfer.
