FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT ACERTIJO
10–12°C (50–54°F)
The best temperature to serve ACERTIJO is between 10°C and 12°C. This temperature allows the beer's complex layers of aromas and flavors to stand out, from the fruity and citrus notes to the subtle barnyard funk.
For more information, see our blog post on Ideal Temperatures for Serving Honey Wines, Meads, and Beers .
For ACERTIJO, we recommend using a tulip glass. The shape of the tulip glass, with its wide body and narrower opening, allows the aromas to be concentrated and directed towards the nose, which is ideal to fully appreciate the aromatic complexity of this beer. Additionally, the glass design also helps maintain good foam retention.
ACERTIJO should be kept in a cool, dark place, ideally at a constant temperature of around 12°C. Avoid exposing the beer to direct light and sudden changes in temperature, as these factors can negatively affect its flavors and aromas. ACERTIJO bottles are sealed with cork, so they should be stored on their side to keep the cork moist and prevent oxygen from entering. However, for short-term storage, the bottles can be stored upright.
ACERTIJO, being a blend of wild ale and wild mead with open fermentation and long aging, has a relatively long shelf life. It can be preserved and enjoyed for up to 3 years after bottling, as long as it is stored properly. Over time, its flavors and aromas can evolve and develop, offering an even richer and more complex tasting experience.
