" Poppy was one of our first meads. It is a sweet mead that uses dried Jamaican rose flowers, which you can see and taste when you walk around the estate. The floral and fruity notes of tropical forest honey complement and balance the acid, fruity/floral and bitter from the Jamaican rose. Delicious amapola!

Amapola is one of my favorites from Meadery! You can drink it alone, on the rocks, or make an Amapola spritz cocktail (add some seltzer and orange peel zest), and you could taste summer! I enjoy this honey wine a lot!

Really good with Blue Cheese!

Amapola is my favorite sweet honey wine from Costa Rica Meadery. Whenever I am going to have a slice of blue cheese (or any strong cheese), I pour myself a little Amapola and enjoy the great pairing. Also... I love to use Amapola as a replacement for sweet vermouth in my favorite cocktails - (Manhattan, Negroni Americano).

Yes, Costa Rica Meadery will ship orders to locations in Costa Rica. If your location is within GAM, we use Correos CR or a courier service. If your location is outside of GAM, we use Parcel or Post, depending on the circumstances. In the event that the delivery services we use are unable to deliver to your location, we will cancel your order and refund your payment.

SHIPPING IS FREE for orders up to 12 kgs to locations in Costa Rica.

For orders weighing more than 12 kgs, contact ventas@costaricameadery.com to coordinate delivery.

Shipments are made from Tuesday to Friday.

Orders before 4:00 pm will be shipped the next day. Orders after 4:00 pm will ship in two days or sooner.

The delivery of your order will be scheduled for the morning or afternoon. We will send you a message via WhatsApp or email when your delivery has been scheduled.

Shipments within the GAM will be delivered within 1-2 business days after order confirmation.


Shipments outside the GAM will be sent by parcel or post and delivered within 2-3 business days after order confirmation.
